NEXT GEN - IVERSON 'ICEMAN' ROSE

Iverson — better known as Iceman — is a proud 10-year-old Bigambul, Ewaiman, Jinibara and Cobble Cobble boy with an entrepreneurial spirit, a big personality and plenty of humour.

A familiar face at GATHAA Markets, Iceman has spent plenty of market days alongside his mum and dad, helping out, chatting with customers and learning the ropes of running a stall. He’s already got his market spruik down pat and isn’t shy about letting people know what’s on offer.

Inspired by his mum and her business, Helen Rose, Iceman is beginning to explore business for himself. At the GATHAA Next Gen Market & Youth Showcase, he’s stepping up to run his own stall, selling a selection of Helen Rose products including Gumby Gumby Moisturiser with Kakadu Plum, Gumby Gumby Sports Rub, Eucalyptus Chest Rub and more.

When asked what he hopes for the future, Iceman says, “I love helping my mum and dad at their markets. One day, I hope I can do this all by myself.”

GATHAA Next Gen gives Iceman the opportunity to take everything he’s been learning alongside his family and put it into practice — welcoming customers, talking about the products and experiencing what it takes to run a stall of his own.

With plenty of confidence, humour and heart, Iceman is already taking his first steps as a young First Nations entrepreneur — and we reckon he’ll have no trouble getting that market spruik heard. 👣
