GATHAA Fibre & Fashion Market
First Nations Makers I From Country to Creation
Join us for a beautiful day celebrating culture and creativity at GATHAA Fibre and Fashion Market
This special themed market brings together First Nations artists, makers and creatives who work with natural fibres, textiles, wearable art and botanicals. Visitors can explore stalls featuring handmade jewellery, woven pieces, slow fashion, beauty products and unique items crafted with care and cultural story.
Throughout the day, there will be opportunities to take part in hands-on workshops including botanical dyeing to create your own piece with Cholena Hughes, stamping beautiful designs onto your favourite clothing with Murri Girl Designs, a didgeridoo workshop for fellas and bush tucker foraging and tastings with Uncle Bruce from Murri Tukka.
Set amongst the stunning surrounds of the nursery, the market invites you to slow down, connect with nature and learn about the many ways plants and natural materials are used through culture, art and food.
As always, GATHAA is more than a market — it’s a space to gather, share knowledge, support First Nations businesses, culture and community
Come along, bring the family and experience the beauty of fibre and fashion on Country.
