Take Pride Movement is a powerful Blak-owned streetwear label founded by Benjamin Thomson, a proud Bila-Galari man. Born and raised in Mt Druitt (Western Sydney), Benjamin draws on his rich Wiradjuri and Rotuman ancestry to create a brand that represents strength, identity, and pride.
The movement began as an idea in 2010 and launched on Invasion Day 2018, with the first shirt selling out before its official release. Since then, Take Pride has grown into a bold cultural force — blending fashion, graffiti, and music to create wearable statements that speak truth and empower First Nations communities.
Each piece reflects the blend of cultures that shape Benjamin’s world — honouring both his Wiradjuri roots and Haroa heritage. Grounded in unity and cultural pride, Take Pride is about more than clothes. It’s about standing tall, being unapologetically Blak, and inspiring the next generation to speak loud and walk proud.
“United we stand. Take Pride Movement.”
