NEXT GEN - EVODIA ROSE

Evodia Rose — Evie — is a passionate young singer and emerging performer who has been sharing her voice with GATHAA audiences since the early days of the markets.

With a love of pop, rock and grunge, Evie has been steadily building her performance experience across community, school and creative arts spaces. She has performed in school musicals, entered Murris Got Talent, and has been involved with Aunty Jude Hammond’s Mundagudda Collective, opening up further opportunities to perform and develop her creative practice.

Her journey has already taken her from performing for community at GATHAA to appearances at Caloundra Regional Gallery and further afield, while continuing to grow in confidence and develop her own musical identity.

As Aunty Dale Chapman’s niece, Evie has a special connection to GATHAA and has grown alongside the markets. We’ve had the privilege of watching that little girl with a big voice grow into a confident young performer ready to take her next steps.

Now performing as Evodia Rose, Evie is keen to continue developing her live performance experience, begin busking and see where her music takes her next.

At the GATHAA Next Gen Market & Youth Showcase, Evie takes her place alongside a deadly line-up of emerging young First Nations performers, sharing her voice with community and continuing the musical journey she began with GATHAA. 👣
